#1 Safety Tool for Travel in Mexico

Each year, foreigners die in Mexico, not from violent crime, but from carbon monoxide poisoning. Building standards aren’t the same as in the US or Canada and CO detectors are not very common. Hotels and Airbnbs often don’t have carbon monoxide detectors and a number of Americans and Canadians have died in hotels or Airbnbs in Mexico.

I recommend bringing a CO detector with you any time you travel in Mexico – or even for travel anywhere in the world.

I travel with this one: https://amzn.to/43HLaSC (affiliate link that supports my channel.) But there are many other options you can choose from. I like this one because it has an LCD display and it’s battery-powered.
