The stop sign at the La Paz Walmart is feared by gringos everywhere. For me, passengers in my car must be silent so that I can concentrate on finding my turn and not messing up the flow. But locals just know how to make it work. Best of all – no honking!
I’ve even seen gringos blow thru the stop sign and the locals just wait until their thru to continue their drive. Honking doesn’t really help, does it?
Double U-Turns, U-turns from the second lane when the left lane is turning left, U-turn from the right lane across 3 lanes of traffic. Pedestrians crossing. A bit of everything.
I filmed this traffic timelapse with my drone.

There are just 4 small stop signs in this intersection – easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention. And you better be a pro at waiting your turn. Who needs traffic lights if everyone is mature enough to work out a 4-way stop?
I need to print t-shirts. I Survived the Alto de Walmart, La Paz Mexico. Lemme know down below if you’d buy one.
