Temporary or Permanent Residents of Mexico (and citizens, kids under 2, diplomats and people staying under 24 hours) can get approximately a $30 refund on plane tickets into Mexico. There is a tourist tax that is charged, and the people I listed above are not tourists.
It’s easy (usually) to get your money back just by calling your airline and providing your CURP number or a scan of your residency card.
