The Best BUTTER in Mexico (and the WORST!)

When people from the US and Canada move to Mexico, there are some challenges finding the flavors from home. Butter is one of them. There are lots of margarines (margarina) in Mexico. And much of the butter (mantequilla) tastes like margarine to me.

We start with a review of viewer recommendations
In this video, Kat and I taste test 8 different butters that we purchased in Mexico:
1) Local butter from Lulu’s Lacteos in La Paz
2) Gloria yellow
3) Gloria silver
4) Selecto
5) Chipilo
6) Eugenia
7) President
8) Lurpak
9) Challenge

The best of the Mexican brands was Gloria in the silver wrapper. And President was the best of the imported brands. And by “best” I mean the one that tastes most like what I’m used to from the United States.

What other foods do expats in Mexico experience that leaves them longing for the taste of home?
