What can you expect from a veterinarian in Mexico? Great service at less than half the cost compared to the US.
If you’re thinking about retiring in Mexico (or just moving to Mexico) with your pets, you’re probably wondering what life will be like for Fido (or in our case, Nugget, our rescue Golden Retriever.)
Generally, vet care in Mexico is very good – you just need to get a referral from someone you trust. Some people who advertise themselves as vets are not trained as vets – they can provide a certain level of care, but nothing beyond the basics.
Here in La Paz, we work with Dr. Bayliss for specialized care. https://www.facebook.com/BaylissVeterinaria/
We also work with Dr Mario in El Centenario closer to home for basics and care for our foster dogs. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100040303340233
